A SPECIAL REQUEST IN CHALLENGING TIMES

Prom Country Aged Care (PCAC) is launching an appeal for donations.

Fundraising makes a vital contribution to PCAC’s financial position

Our residents lives are directly impacted by the funds raised by our volunteers each year. Through the generosity of our community, approximately $150,000 is raised on an annual basis through the activities of our hard-working fundraising committees and Op Shop volunteers.

Due to COVID-19, all our fundraising activities have been cancelled

The Op Shop is closed and it is uncertain when it will re-open. All other events scheduled for this year are cancelled for the time being to ensure we adhere to guidelines and keep our volunteers, patrons and customers safe. Consequently our ability to raise funds for the organisation has been severely impacted, resulting in a considerable shortfall.

To assist in bridging this gap we would be most grateful for donations

Our goal is to raise $60,000 to replace the lost fundraising income for this period. PCAC is appealing to our community to consider donating what you can to the organisation. Any amount, no matter how small, will be gratefully received and acknowledged.

How to donate

A cheque can be mailed to PCAC at PO Box 81, Foster 3960. Cash donations or cheques can be dropped into reception at Prom Country House at 9 O’Connell Road, Foster.

Donate online by obtaining our banking details from reception on 5682 0800 or by emailing info@promcountryagedcare.com.au

Receipts will be issued for tax purposes if requested.

How your donation will be used

PCAC is happy to direct your donation to an area of greatest impact. But if you would like to specify where you would like it directed, here are some items our residents and staff would benefit from:

  • all-weather concrete paths between Prom Country House, the hospital and medical centre

  • our bed replacement program

  • ceiling tracks for lifting hoists in rooms

  • creation of a mens shed

  • a garden extension for residents

For a confidential discussion about your donation, please leave a message for Jackie Dargaville, the Donations Coordinator at reception on 5682 0800.

Life members

Life Members inducted at PCAC’s AGM

Prom Country Aged Care awarded our first eight Life Memberships to deserving recipients at the AGM on 6th November 2015 at Prom Country House. Janice Cayzer, Julie Need, Garry Clavarino, Ian Park, Marg O’Day, Teresa Cicero and Rod Lomax were the nominees awarded at the meeting for their selfless dedication to the organisation over a long period of time. It is the first time that PCAC has awarded life memberships and this tradition will now continue on after the Rules of Association were changed last year to include life members into the organisation.
